Vague Questions
Nick Mass and Silas Rubeck
Vague Questions is an interview series that documents the reactive mind. The concept is to take questions that may appear in everyday life, take them out of context, and allow the interviewee to assign their own topic to them. The questions are essentially Rorschach tests in language form.
“My experience was that of somebody who felt validated as an artist. Vague Questions was a project that I had been thinking of for 3+ years, and to have the belief in the project from The Warhol Foundation, the jurors, and BICA created a sense of professionalism as an artist in myself. Application guidelines were all laid out easily to follow, help was available if necessary, and info sessions allowed for me to go into the process with a full head of steam without confusion.”
