Gold Leaf Glass Sign Art - Workshop & Public Exhibition

The Generator Fund will support the creation of works using gold leaf that are similar and different from more traditional uses in hand-painted signs. To engage the public and artists of Western New York, a workshop and public demonstration of gilding will coincide with an exhibition of new non-traditional work.
“With the funds awarded I was able to secure the necessary supplies for the gold leaf workshop, offer 6 participants the ability to attend at no cost to them, and give the remaining participants a low cost of attendance. Beyond these physical goals, I was able to expose this dying craft to a group of my peers here in Buffalo. It was truly remarkable to grow in the aspect of being able to teach a workshop on this craft and spread the knowledge of this craft.”
